The H27RT six-inch-aperture housing from Halo is intended for use in remodeling projects where two-by-six-inch joist construction makes the space too shallow for fixtures with a taller profile. While this model is not rated for direct contact with insulation, it may be used with insulation as long as a three-inch gap is maintained around the fixture.

For ease of installation, four remodel clips secure the housing (they will accommodate 1/2- and 5/8-inch ceiling material). The housing itself accepts a variety of bulb sizes, and the rigid socket plate adjusts and locks without tools. Wiring is simplified thanks to the three "Quick-Connect" connectors that eliminate thee need for separate wire nuts.

good product despite the fact that receiving a trim to fit is another matter. The can itself works excellent and is a life saver when you have plumbing, electrical etc. in the way. it is a well made product but the description did not say Halo (Cooper) but it is tends to make it much easier to acquire trims to fit.
