Cooper Lighting H7RT 6-Inch Housing Non-IC Remodel Housing 120V Line Voltage

Product Description

Amazon.com Product Description

This is the fixture to choose if you're looking for a larger-aperture (six inches) lighting solution for use in a remodeling project for non-insulated ceilings. The housing slips easily through an opening in the ceiling, and you can select from a variety of trims to match your décor, finish, and desired lighting effects.

Halo makes installation easy with an array of useful features. It can be installed from below the ceiling using the included remodel clips (these accommodate 1/2- and 5/8-inch ceiling materials). The fixed-position porcelain socket with screw shell provides consistent lamp positioning, and three "Quick Connect" connectors eliminate the need for separate wire nuts.

While this unit is not IC-rated, you can install with insulation as long as you keep it at least three inches from the housing. For safety, the fixture includes a self-resetting thermal protector that deactivates the fixture if it overheats.

Available with a variety of trim options (sold separately), some of which allow you to use low-voltage MR16 lamps. UL damp location and feed-through rated; CSA certified; IP rated. For new construction, see Halo's H7T.--Josh Dettweiler
