The beauty of this Cooper Lighting recessed kit is that you no longer have to guess which housing belongs with which trim - the can and trim come packaged together. This combined packaging greatly simplifies the often confusing process of selecting recessed lighting.
The P451S kit combines a white trim and 4-inch clear specular reflector with remodel housing. The low profile housing makes this an excellent choice for 2- by 6-inch joist construction common in older housing, or for installations with minimal available space. A combination of several recessed light kits can be used to accent a large area, or single lights can be strategically placed as task lighting in areas such as the kitchen, home office, or laundry room.
Proper installation of the light requires that insulation be kept three inches from the housing. To install with bar hangers, be sure to purchase 24-inch bar hangers P98 (sold separately). Light uses 14-watt R20 bulb (not included). UL regulated for safety.--Bree Norlander

I've just received my order this evening (only three days...to Hawaii...Amazon rocks!). I don't like to write reviews and never wrote one before, but after inspecting these fixtures, I felt compelled to fire up the PC and write my first one.
The quality of this Cooper product is exceptional...and when you consider the price, an amazing value. I've installed dozens of 4" can lights for clients, all bought from the Big Orange Box store. The difference in quality of this fixture over theirs is so striking, it's just crazy. This trim has a die-cast metal bezel attached to the reflector vs. a loose plastic ring (warps if you push the reflector into the housing a bit too hard, and discolors over time), the junction box has a finished appearance w/ minimal sharp edges vs. razor sharp edges on theirs (nicked myself a few times), the reflector is noticeably thicker, and the junction box bracket is U-channel reinforced and solid. Overall, the look, fit, finish and feel is notably superior to Big Orange's. Even the packaging is outstanding (vinyl pads over the reflector trim spring claws...Cooper may be going a bit too far!). And this is the only recessed product that the can and trim are packaged as a set in the same box. Really convenient.
But here's the real kicker: This superior fixture from Amazon is about 30% LE$$ than Big Orange's. I so wish I had discovered this sooner. In other supplies, e.g., switches, receptacles, etc., Cooper is my brand of choice. Recessed lights are now on this list. If you're considering 4" recessed lighting, order this product...it's a no-brainer.
I've never considered mail order as an option for materials and supplies for jobs because of the usual high shipping costs to Hawaii and the questionable delivery time (I ordered these for my daughter's bedroom remodel). However, with Amazon's free Super Saver Shipping on so many items, quick delivery, and nifty tracking system, it is indeed a very viable option.

Despite the fact that most of this will be hidden in the ceiling, you'll know it's a good product when you get and install it.
The previous reviewer pretty much covered everything. I just wanted to point out that this is intended for remodeling work, designed to be installed in a finished ceiling. That doesn't mean you can't use it for other jobs, just be aware that it doesn't get nailed between joists or anything. It is held in place with those three dark-colored spring clips after you slide the unit up through the hole in the ceiling.
Also, the reflector only extends into the chamber about half-way. This is fine for most applications and bulbs.
